Dianne Griffin
It is with mixed feelings, that we announce the retirement of Dianne Griffin, OLOL Tumor Conference Coordinator. It is nearly impossible to acknowledge Dianne’s contributions over the past 20 years.
Dianne was the “go-to” for anything tumor conference-related, and many physicians relied on her investigative skills to locate information just based on the patient’s initials. She took pride in her role as Tumor Conference Coordinator and looked beyond coordinating a “case” and rather translating that to a person. Dianne consistently went above and beyond to ensure that all material was available for case presentations. She did this because it was her way of contributing excellent care to our cancer patients by ensuring that all relevant material was available at tumor conferences for case discussion.
Dianne also played an instrumental role in regional tumor registry operations for Regions 2 and 5. She was the gatekeeper for anything LTR-related. It just took one call to Dianne and she was already on the task before you ended the phone call. She was also a source of information for registrars throughout the state; not just in the Baton Rouge area.
Dianne has made so many personal connections during her time in the tumor registry. We will certainly miss working with Dianne, but we are so excited to see her start a new chapter in her life. Thank you, Dianne, for the countless ways that you have left your mark on the tumor registry and left it a better place for so many of us.

Happy Retirement, Jill!
